As Director of Development and Alumni Relations I lead a team who are dedicated to helping the University to develop life-long relationships with our alumni and other supporters. I joined the team as Deputy Director in July 2006 to lead the fundraising team with a particular focus on developing relationships with potential donors to the University, in March 2008 I became Director. I have previously worked as Corporate Responsibility Manager for Tesco plc and have 11 years experience of communications, fundraising and marketing experience.

I lead the team which runs the Annual Fund, manages the Alumni Database and finances of the DARO team and ensures that all donations to the University are appropriately recorded and reported. I have worked on the Annual Fund in the Development Office since graduating from Exeter with an MMath degree in 2003.

My role within the Annual Fund team is to organise and run our telephone campaigns. I work with an enthusiastic and committed team of student callers who talk to alumni about their experiences at Exeter University, the relationship they have with it now, the benefits available to them as alumni and to raise money for the Annual Fund. I joined the team in December 2008 with previous experience as a student caller.

My role within the team is to develop and to organise the direct mail appeals for the Annual Fund, this involves mailing our existing supporters, alumni and parents of current students to update them on University events and to ask for their support with our fundraising campaign. I joined the University in June 2008 having previously worked for both a national and a locally based charity in Exeter.

I came to the University in May 2006 having worked in finance in the private sector for over 30 years. In addition to providing daily finance support to the team I also deal with the budgets, and donations and disbursements to and from the Exeter University Foundation. I liaise closely with the Finance Department. |

My main responsibility is to provide support to the Finance Officer in her daily work, primarily through processing Annual Fund donations and dealing with purchase invoices. I first graduated from the University in 2006 with a BA in English, and again the following year with an MA in the same discipline. I joined the team shortly after graduating, initially as a Development Database Assistant before switching part-time to my current capacity in September of the same year. Outside work I am pursuing a full-time PhD in English here at Exeter, as well as a distance-learning course in reading classical Latin through the Open University.

I first came to the University in 1984 as an undergraduate, studying Geography. After graduating, I spent 20 years working in service improvement and data analysis roles, mainly in the social housing sector. I was delighted to return to Streatham campus in 2008 for my present role, which is to manage and develop our database of over 100,000 current and former students, staff and friends of the University.

I first came to Exeter as a Sociology undergraduate in 2000 where I became heavily involved in student life including sitting on Guild Council, volunteering with Community Action and societies and representing Sociology students. After three years employed by the Students' Guild as Community Action Coordinator I joined the DARO team in September 2007. Like Shirley, my role is to develop and strengthen relationships with our Alumni and supporters and secure major gifts.

I first came to the University in 2002 as an undergraduate in Law. After gaining my LLB, I began working for the Development Office in 2005. I now take responsibility for the University's Legacy Programme, which largely centres on direct mail and telephone communications to our alumni. The aim is to highlight the importance of supporting the University through one's lifetime but also beyond this time. I also take responsibility for the Legacy Circle, a group of alumni and friends who have already included the University in their Wills. I am also organising some important and exciting legacy events, including an informative seminar to be held on campus.

I joined the team in January 2008 to identify and research potential major donor support for the University. My primary focus is to source potential donors for the Director of Development and the Major Gifts Officers, while providing research and prospect briefings for both Development and Alumni Relations teams prior to networking and cultivation events. I have worked in prospect research since 2001, as Research Manager for research consultancy, the Factary and the South West’s science centre, Explore-At-Bristol.

I joined DARO in April 2008 having having previously worked for Exeter's Students' Guild. I am an Exeter Alumnus myself, graduating in 2006 with a BA in English. My responsibilities include enhancing relationships with alumni and friends through the co-ordination of appropriate and engaging stewardship activities, co-ordinating DARO's relationship with the University's honorary graduates and members of the College of Benefactors, implementing strategy for recognising donations and ensuring that scholarships and prizes are appropriately administered.

My focus is to lead the alumni relations team in providing services and opportunities for alumni to reengage with the University, including events in the UK and overseas, volunteer opportunities and networking. I have more than 10 years of experience in alumni relations and development in the US and UK.

I joined DARO in July 2008 after graduating with an Exeter degree in International Relations in 2007 and volunteering with Community Action. In the year after graduating, I was Education Officer on the Students' Guild Sabbatical Team. Within DARO, it is my responsibility to organise and manage the Annual Graduates’ Reunions, assist in building alumni networks and promoting Schools’ own alumni events, support overseas alumni events, process information for alumni, alumni associations, Schools and Convocation, prepare and organise the Paddon Award Arts Competition, respond to alumni enquiries and provide information for individual alumni or small groups revisiting the campus. |

I joined the team in November 2008 having previously worked in international alumni relations and PR for King's College London, after spending several years in Italy working for a university in Sicily and an entrepreneurial networking organisation in Milan. |

I am a journalist by profession - holding the National Council for the Training of Journalists NCE (National qualification) and a NVQ Level 4 in Newspaper Journalism. I am responsible for DARO's communications activities. I graduated with a Politics BA degree from Exeter in 1999. I also recently completed a Masters Degree in Legislative Studies. |

I manage all networks of International Alumni overseas, keeping them engaged with the university and among themselves through e-mails, newsletters, publications and get together events. I support International Alumni in building their chapters in their regions and also encouraging and maintaining their support for our current students at the university and those thinking to pursue their studies here. |
