Induction

The purpose of the Corporate Services Induction programme is to make the transition for the new employee into their new role as smooth as possible; helping them to settle in quicker means we increase staff retention.

The contents of the Induction are not set in stone; some areas will be more relevant than others however it is important that employees are aware of all aspects.

The Induction does not include any of the job skills training that a new employee will need – this should be carried out along side the workplace Induction and should be ‘designed/decided’ by the relevant person. The Induction has been designed to give information about the University, its structure and how the people and departments fit into that structure.
