Procurement Policies & Procedures
- Professional Code of Ethics
All members of the University's Procurement Team are members of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS) and observe its professional Code of Ethics.
- Sustainable Procurement Policy
The university spends over £55 million on non-pay items each year. Consequently there is a tremendous opportunity to reduce our impact on the environment through the products we select and to influence our customers and suppliers to improve their sustainability. In November 2007, the University published this policy which outlines our guiding principles for all staff with purchasing responsibilities.
- Purchasing Card Policy
The NatWest Purchasing Card is a corporate credit card that should assist the University to better manage business expenses. The card can be used to pay for goods and services of low value, conference and seminar fees, accommodation charges, vehicle hire and other travel expenses and for goods bought from approved University suppliers.
- Campus Services Purchasing Manual
This purchasing manual is drafted to assist the current purchasers within Campus Services to manage procurement, supplier payments and insurance matters.
