PC Ian Lugg is the Neighbourhood Beat Manager for the Exeter University Community. His role is to be a link between the community and the police. He’s a friendly and helpful person with an interest in the safety and quality of life of all our students.

The City of Exeter is generally a safe place, but it’s important to think about your personal safety. The best way to keep yourself safe is by taking sensible precautions.

Try to avoid walking alone at night.
Never leave your drinks unattended.
Stay with your group of friends and make sure that everyone who goes out gets home safely.
Stay in well lit areas and avoid dark alleys.
